BIO

Tania Miller is a junior at Northwestern studying Neuroscience with a concentration in Biology along with a second major in Psychology. She has done past research in both biology and neuroscience, specifically focusing on the endocrine and taste system. Tania’s interest in politics and social media stemmed from her daily experiences online. Outside of class, she enjoys volunteering with children at hospitals and schools throughout the Chicago area. In the future, Tania hopes to become a physician assistant where she will specialize in neurosurgery. 

Baran Demir

BIO

I’m Baran Demir, a Turkish-American student majoring in Biology with Human Health and Disease concentration and Neuroscience with Human Behavior and Cognition concentration. My interest in political psychology primarily stems from my personal experiences during Obama and Trump presidencies as a Middle Eastern American. I also currently research the effects of early life stress on dopamine neurons in Lerner lab. Once I graduate in 2025, I hope to matriculate into medical school to become a psychiatrist in the future.

Claire Foltz

BIO

Claire Foltz is a Senior at Northwestern studying Journalism with a double major in Psychology. Outside of her course work, Claire is an active member of Northwestern’s Mock Trial Team where she serves as the President. Professionally, she hopes to combine her educational and extracurricular interests by studying media law.

Griffin Minster

BIO

Griffin Minster is a Senior at Northwestern studying Computer Science, along with a minor in Psychology. He’s interested in the intersection between the two disciplines, and how the way we perceive and process the world around us can affect our usage of technology in new and engaging ways. Outside of classes, Griffin is a campus tour guide and is very involved in student theatre at Northwestern, producing multiple shows during his four years.
