BIO

My name is Audrey Clarendon and I’m a current sophomore from northwest Missouri studying Physics & Astronomy and Art Theory & Practice. I spent last summer researching how to capture the abstract feelings of those afflicted by the poorly understood Depersonalization/Derealization disorder, in which a person disconnects from their sense of self and/or their surroundings. I chose to investigate the condition through visual art, specifically oil painting, as it has a demonstrated ability to capture the intangible.
