BIO

A multilingual performer, researcher, and learner, Aashna is passionate about the impact of the arts both on and offstage. As a theatre and cognitive science double major at Northwestern University with the TYA module, she is forever excited to explore the inner workings of the human psyche as simultaneously artist and scientist. Her interests within performance span everything from acting with Northwestern’s American Music Theatre Project to music direction for student cabarets to theatre for young audiences and arts education in local elementary schools. She is actively involved in increasing accessibility and inclusion in the arts, serving on the executive boards of Northwestern’s BIPOC theatre group, Vibrant Colors Collective, and Seesaw Theatre, a multisensory theatre group aimed at children with neurodiversity and/or disabilities. Outside of theatre, she leads the Cognitive Science Club, sings South Asian fusion acapella music, and constantly sends photos of everything she cooks to her parents back home in India.
